The journey begins through México’s only privately-owned tunnel. The 300-meter Dos Mares passage, carved through solid mountain rock over nine months, transitions guests from Cabo San Lucas into an exclusive sanctuary where desert cliffs embrace the Pacific Ocean. This dramatic arrival introduces the newly reimagined
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, which completed its multi-year transformation in October 2025.

Set on 24 acres at Land’s End, the Five-Star resort transformed all 112 accommodations with designs by original architect Paul Duesing. The renovation honors Mexican heritage through custom furniture and artwork by artisans from Oaxaca, Jalisco, and Baja California Sur. Each space features a lighter, neutral palette with warm accents, while maintaining signature private plunge pools and Pacific views. The enhanced spa now offers lunar-inspired treatments in a revitalized salon alongside its saltwater meditation pool.

Culinary enhancements position the Waldorf Astoria as a gastronomic destination. Cliffside El Farallon continues earning top restaurant accolades with ocean-to-table dining, while Don Manuel’s hacienda-style warmth now includes TRAVESÍA, a nine-course taco tasting menu. New additions include the Agave Study showcasing rare Mexican spirits and Neutral Coffee Lab‘s artisanal coffee experience. The enhanced Beach Club features rotating culinary activations, complementing the annual Festival of Flavors series hosting Michelin-starred chefs.

The resort continues its partnership with Alo Wellness Club, offering curated in-person retreats focused on sustainable living. Personal Concierges arrange experiences from private yacht charters to guided tequila tastings, while multiple pools cater to different moods – from the adults-only Tierra Luna with floating champagne service to family-friendly areas.

Originally opened in 2009, the property became Waldorf Astoria in 2019 and retained Two MICHELIN Keys for 2025. The “Pedregal People” team maintains service standards earning its Forbes Five-Star designation, creating a sanctuary where contemporary luxury meets deep respect for Mexican craftsmanship and the extraordinary Baja landscape.
