A private membership club at sea answers the question ultra-wealthy travelers didn’t know they were asking
Somewhere between Monaco and Mozambique, aboard a vessel being reimagined for a new era of ocean living, a small and deliberate community will call the world home. No fixed address. No maintenance bills. No luggage to carry. No itinerary anxiety. Just the Sea of Cortés one month, the South Pacific the next, with every logistical complexity quietly absorbed by a team built for exactly that purpose. This is the promise behind Continuum, Avora Residences’ newly launched private membership club at sea — and it arrives at precisely the right moment.
Announced today from Fort Lauderdale, Continuum is a membership-based concept layered onto the Avora Lumina, the former Seven Seas Navigator now undergoing transformation into a boutique residential and private club platform. Avora Residences, founded by Mikael Petterson — the creator of Villa Vie Residences — has quietly been building toward this moment. With a nine-year charter from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and a January 2028 launch from Lisbon, Lumina represents the next evolution of residential cruising: a purpose-built home that travels, not a cruise ship that accommodates.
