How the Michelin journey started

Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, explained that joining the Michelin Guide wasn’t automatic—it required an economic commitment to bring inspectors and be officially included. The surprise wasn’t the challenge. It was the response.

The moment the destination proved itself

In his words, strategic partners stepped up with additional funds “because they believed in the project,” and in five days they raised what was needed to sign the commitment and enable the inspection. The applause, he said, belongs to the entrepreneurs and community leaders “who represent the best of Los Cabos.”

A total of 21 restaurants were recognized in Baja California Sur, including new recognitions: Mezcal Montage, Al Pairo Solaz, Limo Heritage Kitchen, Suelo Sur.
