Under the dazzling lights of the Cannes Film Festival, the 12th edition of the Global Gift Gala transformed La Môme Plage into an unforgettable evening of hope, inspiration, and compassion. This extraordinary gathering of international talent united in support of the Global Gift Foundation to raise vital funds for two life-changing initiatives: Casa Ángeles Vietnam, a home for orphaned children, and Casa Ángeles España, a therapeutic center for children with special needs and rare diseases.
The evening was chaired by María Bravo, founder of the Global Gift Foundation, and hosted by the inspirational Eva Longoria, Honorary Chair of the gala.
A celebration of empowerment and purpose, one of the most emotional moments of the evening was the presentation of the Global Gift Award for Women’s Empowerment to Lauren Sánchez, presented by Eva Longoria. Sánchez was recognized for her innovative work in environmental protection and her commitment to gender equality.
In her acceptance speech, Sánchez said: “Receiving the Global Gift Award for Women’s Empowerment is truly special because it celebrates what happens when we come together to strengthen communities and light the way for others. This recognition honors the belief that kindness and compassion are powerful tools—tools my grandmother taught me to use every day.
Life is about supporting each other on our journeys, lifting each other up, and helping each person find their own light. Let us continue to choose empathy, kindness, and the incredible strength we share when we light the way for others,” concluded Ms. Sanchez.
Distinguished guests included philanthropists, media personalities, and renowned artists: two-time Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody, Jeff Bezos, international football icon Paul Pogba; and Hollywood star Amaury Nolasco, all showing their support for the Foundation’s mission to drive meaningful social change through unity and compassion.
Another unforgettable moment was the presentation of the Global Gift Philanthropy Award to Dr. Hamed Rasoulof, in recognition of his exemplary blend of entrepreneurial success and humanitarian vision. In his moving speech, he shared:
“I am deeply grateful, and I want to thank the incredible team at the Global Gift Foundation. It is a true honor to receive this recognition. More than anything, this moment is a reminder that meaningful impact is never a solitary endeavor. It is formed through community, a shared vision, and the courage to believe that even the smallest act of kindness can create lasting change. This award is not just about what has been accomplished, but what is still possible. It is a call to stay present, to lead with heart, and to continue building spaces where generosity, equity, and opportunity can thrive… Because, at its core, it is our shared humanity that connects us, drives us, and ultimately heals the world.”
Legendary artist Laura Pausini captivated the audience with a moving performance, while Gipsy Reyes Heritage filled the stage with the vibrant energy of flamenco rumba.
The event was masterfully hosted by journalist Sandy Heribert, who kept the audience captivated throughout the evening. The live auction, directed by renowned Christie’s auctioneer Julien Brunie, featured exclusive works by Richard Orlinski, Jaime Monge, Fray Sidival Fila, Leloluce, and the fashion house Yanina Couture. Attendees responded generously, making heartfelt donations to support the cause.
The gastronomy reached new heights thanks to exquisite wines and champagnes, including Château Enclos Haut Mazeyres Pomerol, Maxime Cuvée Wines Sancerre Delaporte, and Champagne Gregory Verlet, creating a true sensorial journey through French excellence.
Founder Maria Bravo gave a toast reflecting on the evening, “Tonight, Eva Longoria and I are honored to recognize the humanitarian work of such inspiring individuals, Lauren Sánchez and Dr. Hamed Rasoulof, whose commitment to social causes reflects the values we promote at the Global Gift Foundation.”
The Global Gift Gala Cannes was more than an event: it was a movement in action. From moving speeches and impactful performances to gestures of quiet generosity, the evening served as a powerful reminder that when one unites with love and action, anything is possible.
