ACADEMY MUSEUM OF MOTION PICTURES 4th ANNUAL GALA RAISES OVER $11 MILLION
The Academy Museum Gala: $11M+ Raised to Keep Cinema Accessible
Not just a red carpet—an operating budget for culture
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures held its fourth annual gala in partnership with Rolex, raising over $11 million to support exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programs—from screenings and K–12 learning to access initiatives serving Los Angeles.
The night honored the past—and funded the future
Co-chaired by Dr. Eric Esrailian, Salma Hayek Pinault, Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria, and Tyler Perry, the evening celebrated the museum’s mission while recognizing standout voices in film:
- Rita Moreno received the Icon Award, presented by Steven Spielberg
- Paul Mescal received the Vantage Award, presented by Saoirse Ronan
- Quentin Tarantino received the Luminary Award, presented by John Travolta, and announced he would donate his first handwritten Pulp Fiction draft to the museum
